Exhaust repacking and maintenance at SINISTER powersports
Do you remember when your exhaust/silencer was last repacked?
If not, it's probably time...
On average Off-road systems need to be repacked after 10-15 hours of use. Repacking your muffler at the suggested intervals is essential for your exhaust to perform the way it was designed.
Dirty packing restricts airflow from your motor, which results in a loss of power and degradation of sound. Repacking your muffler allows for freer airflow from your motor, which restores lost power and improves the exhaust sound.
We use Yoshimura or FMFs advanced space-age fiberglass packing material for all our mufflers, along with high-strength stainless steel rivets.
If it is an Yoshimura or FMF exhaust/silencer we can also include new badging to freshen up your muffler's appearance.
First, we offer muffler repacking as a service. Simply call one of our expertly-trained sales representatives, who will assist you with cost and shipping information, as well as answer any other questions you may have. Once your muffler arrives at our 'Service centre', our team will remove and dispose of your old packing material and replace it with our proprietary space-age fiberglass packing material. Turn-around time is approximately 2 business days, excluding shipping/transit times.
Alternatively, if you are comfortable repacking your own muffler, we sell all the materials as standalone products.

have a sweet looking, running KTM SX-F 250 '06 available to buy, we have supplied parts for this bike for the last year or two and know the previous owners and how well they have treated her.
Not long had a piston, valves and shimmed along with fresh cam/s and comes with complete Leo Vince exhaust, RG3 Clamps, Renthal Fat Bars, Boyesen Quick Shot and Deep Float Bowl.
New decals added yesterday (Friday 6th July 2012) so looks mint right now, 80% tread on tyres and runs like a dream. Only came in as previous owners son wanted to try the KTM 250 2 Stroke.
Treated well and serviced after each weekend she is an awesome purchase for any racer or leisure rider - no offers looking for £1500 + delivery.

During the manufacturing process on these Q1s in white the aluminium undergoes various kinds of tensions, especially in areas of bending and welding, which weaken the mechanical strength of parts.
For this reason, at the end of the production process, all parts XRW, are subject to a thermally treated, commonly known as Temper. (This is a high temperature treatment, which returns all the mechanical properties of metallic alloys, breaking stress, increasing strength, durability and elasticity of the parts).
This process of stabilization and increased thermal resistance of aluminium, is exactly the same that is used in automotive and aeronautical production. The XRW brand prides itself on being the only European company to use this process to manufacture metal parts for accessories ATV / Quad and Off Road.

HOT OFF THE PRESS - HMF release new WildCat 1000 exhausts
says 'In 2012, Arctic Cat unveiled the Wildcat 1000 side by side vehicle that made a big impact on the industry’

The engine is a V-Twin, 4 Stroke SOHC that's fuel injected with a 951 / 58 displacement. Out of the gate, this machine has a tremendous amount of power
Loading it up on the Dyno, HMF realized an HMF Dual Slip On system would be killer in complimenting this power and set about shaving off about 10lbs of weight with the HMF system, this then increased the WildCat by over 4 HP along with 3 LB of extra torque.
With the Swamp and Swamp XL Full systems, we saw similar power gains with the sound levels between 100 and 104 DB.

HMF Recommended Jetting for Wildcat 1000 (12)
2012 Wildcat: Recommended Tuning:
A tuner wont usually be necessary without air box mods.
These settings were determined on their Dyno at 900ft - 60°F
Improper air fuel ratio can lead to engine and/or exhaust system damage.
Other tuning extras are available, why not make the most of your carton, exchange rate by adding to your exhaust and making up the complete performance package.

Package includes stage 1,2 or 3 PHD gas flowing of your cylinder head, new Athena 100mm cylinder kit taking your ATV to 493cc which includes a 13.1 compression Athena forged piston and Cometic top end gasket kit.
While inside we can of course add uprated stage one Intake & Exhaust Hot Cams, no labour charged for changing these just pay for the new cams.
Simply drop off your LT-R and we will strip off your fenders and clean it profesionally, have her fully checked over and then serviced - next comes a complete top end strip down and gas flowing of your cylinder head, including in our costs are a valve clearance check and clean of your cylinder head and rebuild of the top end.

KTM350 SX-F 2011 For Sale:
The 2011 KTM 350 SX-F fills a long-time void in the motocross industry by offering a motorcycle that combines traits of both the 250 and 450 genres. It’s a niche machine that has the ability to win over riders with its unique formula.
As its name implies, the KTM has a 100cc engine capacity disadvantage. That equates to less immediate bottom-end and mid-range thrust on the dirt and dyno. Measured peak horsepower numbers are 37.19 horsepower coming at a lofty 9600 revs. That’s only just four ponies fewer than its big brother, the KTM 450 SX-F In terms of torque the engine cranks out 22.4 lb-ft of twisting force at 8200 rpm, which is between four and seven lb-ft fewer than the 450s.
What the hard numbers don’t reveal is how snappy and free-revving the KTM’s engine is.
Keep the throttle pinned and you’ll discover it has a voracious appetite for building revs quickly.
And that is the key to riding the 350: rev the heck out of it.
